NiT Meet-Up Rolodex
I don’t really have anything wonderous or wise to say about the NiT meet-up, but I figured I’d ‘rolodex’ some of the people I met.
Kat Coble — she introduced herself as just Kat and I didn’t actualy connect her to ‘Coble’ until afterwards. If I had, I probably would have apologized for some of the more asshole-ish snark I’ve flung her way. Well, some of it at least : )
Rex Hammock — we had a good chat. Must remember to check out Make Magazine and zefrank per his suggestions.
John H, who told me about my Woodbine neighborhood having once been colloquially called “flat rock” because there’s — go figure — apparently a big flat rock around here somewhere. I’ll have to look that up. Old Nashville history intrigues me. Like the kick I got out of hearing that the Schermerhorn site used to be the hay market in the long ago.
Sean Braisted — I only shook his hand & heard ‘Sean’, didn’t connect him to Braisted until later. Wish I’d talked to him some. He’s always struck me as a pretty smart guy. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before we cynics start wearing down his partisan blinders : )
CeeElCee — I can see why Aunt B calls him “Smiley”.
And of course I finally met the aristocracy of this little group, Brittney of Nashville is Talking and Kleinheider of Volunteer Voters, as well as the dynamic duo of Aunt B and Sarcastro. (psst, Wintermute — Ms. Gilbert is even more fetching in person. We just may have to do something about that boyfriend of hers… : )

Great to finally meet you. I think you may have something there regarding Braisted.
It was fun meeting you yesterday. Your taste in names is great. I think that Brittney is almost blindingly cute. Her pics just don’t do her justice.
Flat rock
Indeed on all counts. And thanks for the flatrock link (fixed)!
It was great to meet you, too. No need to apologise at all. I probably deserved anything you felt was snarky. ;-p
Sorry we didn’t talk more. I figured we’d have a lot more time before we got roped into the Amway presentation. We’ll make it more sociable next time!
