First Blood Brothers

I saw Son of Rambow last night, and damn if it wasn’t good enough to warrant both a tweet and a post.

As usual, Jim Ridley gives a much more proper review than I ever could. I can just say it was very funny, wonderfully imaginative, and deeply moving — one of the best movies I’ve seen in quite a while. Although, the review focuses mostly on the interaction between the children’s movie-making and the budding of their imaginations, whereas I might put more emphasis on the developing friendship between these two lonely misfits, to which end I think the rest of the movie is just a fantastically fun and clever device.
