On The Baby Mama Drama
While I think he perhaps hyper-inflates the severity of the issue, I think Kleinheider is probably correct in the essentials that attacking Palin on her family life is bad, bad strategy for the left. Obama knows this, and that’s part of why he says to back off (and, ya know, he didn’t get this far by being bad at this stuff).
But attacking is one thing, reasoned discussion of bad public policy is quite another. It must be absolutely in bounds to note that the anti-science, superstition-based policies of social conservatives are directly related to the positions in which the Palins find themselves. No double-entendre intended.
But mostly, like ‘Coma, I really just don’t care that much about this one. That said, it’s really hard not to look for a couple of good Juno / Juneau jokes.
Oh, and I meant to say I think the real story here is, can we trust the judgment of someone who gives their kids names like Track and Trig? Edit: Heh
